They’re not bad, mind you, but those who are heavily into crafting and building need something more to make their lives easier. Thankfully, there’s no lack of great mods out there. In fact, there are so many that picking just a few of them was incredibly difficult. Choices had to be made, however, and these are the best mods (in our eyes) to help with all your storage needs.
10. Useful Backpacks
Check Out This Mod Looking for more item capacity and out of simple-to-use options? These backpacks have been made just for you. Useful Backpacks is a very straightforward mod that introduces three new backpacks with small, medium, and large inventories. This will let you bring more items with you as you venture out in the great unknown. Just like real life, right? Minus all the blocks, obviously.
9. Chest Transporter
Check Out This Mod Backpacks are very useful. But they may not be enough if your motto in Minecraft is “Farm Everything in Sight”. This Chest Transporter is a brilliant mod for those compulsive item farmers out there. The mod introduces a chest transporter item that makes it possible for you to carry any type of chest around, allowing you to store way more items than with any type of backpack. The downside is that, as long as you’re carrying the chest, you’ll move slower, dig slower, and won’t be able to jump properly. You win some, you lose some, I guess.
8. Simple Storage Network
Check Out This Mod Collecting tons of items is what makes Minecraft so much fun. Item management, on the other hand, is what makes Minecraft so frustrating sometimes. Leave frustration out of your blocky world with the Simple Storage Network mod, which makes storage… well, simple. How? By giving you all the tools to build the storage network of your dreams. Then you can always have all of your items within reach.
7. Akashic Tome
Check Out This Mod The Akashic Tome mod isn’t just a mod. It is a gateway. To a world of unlimited potential. It simply adds a new item to your inventory, but what an item it is. Being able to hold multiple documentation books, the Akashic Tome lets you play around with so many different items that you literally won’t be able to keep track of them all. So much that you may end up losing everything, if you misuse such power.
6. Bibliocraft
Check Out This Mod Bibliocraft may not be all about flashy storage networks or advanced features, but it’s still a mod you’ll want to download if you want your storage options upgraded. With Bibliocraft installed, you’ll be able to sort your items in a very fashionable way. Having started as a simple bookshelf mod, it shouldn’t surprise you how easily this mod will let you store your items. Tidy and fashionable? I’ll take it!
5. Ender Storage
Check Out This Mod I can understand why some people like technology… but myself, I prefer magic. Even for storage solutions! Ender Storage is yet another mod that lets you create a storage network. Only this time, it’s powered by magic. Colorful magic, I may add, as only chests, pouches, and tanks of the same color will be connected.
4. Refined Storage
Check Out This Mod Simple storage networks are nice and functional… but if you want to bring things to the next level, it’s time to go Refined! Refined Storage is known in the Minecraft community as one of the best storage mods ever made for the game. And for a very good reason. It gives you everything you need to create the most complex yet useful storage networks to store all your items and fluids. And if you’re in the mood for a little bit of crafting, you’ll be able to do so from anywhere in your network, thanks to importers, exporters, constructors, destructors, and more! Definitely check this one out.
3. Quantum Storage
Check Out This Mod I feel like I should give you an in-depth, scientific explanation of how Quantum Storage works, and how it’s meant to make life easier for the everyday Steve out there… But I can’t. I’m no scientist! Instead, I’ll focus on why you should download the Quantum Storage mod: First reason? Nearly unlimited storage of one type of item. While this may sound a little disappointing to some, try being disappointed at this mod when you’re building something amazing and you don’t have to farm items over and over. Less time farming, more time building.
2. Inventory Sorter
Check Out This Mod I like having as many items as possible like everyone else. But sorting them is not exactly my idea of fun. Thankfully, a modder came to my rescue with the Inventory Sorter mod, a powerful tool that lets you sort items with just a mouse click. You even create custom keybindings to help speed up the process. Who ever said that mods need to be complex to be good?
1. Mouse Tweaks
Check Out This Mod Mouse Tweaks isn’t exactly a storage or backpack mod, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me this time for breaking the theme of this list… Because this is a mod that all Minecraft players should download as soon as they can. The many tweaks added with this mod truly revolutionize how you access your inventory, replacing the standard right-mouse button dragging mechanic, with two new left mouse button mechanics. And it adds an option that lets you quickly move items with the scroll wheel, too. Couple this mod with any of the other storage mods on this list, and Minecraft will never feel the same again.
